The General Program Intern Application is a year-round application where applicants fill out their information and complete a pre-recorded video that will be reviewed by a LA-Tech.org career coach. Once candidates have submitted their application the following steps occur:

Application Section

• The application section takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete which includes contact information, demographics, professional skills, and availability.  
• Once the application section is complete, candidates will be able to apply for internship opportunities offered by LA-Tech.org in collaboration with various partner companies. 
• Candidates have the ability to change and update their answers at any time by logging back into their account. 

Pre-recorded Video Section

• Applicants are asked to complete 4 short videos answering questions related to their internship search. This is for career coaches to evaluate how candidates perform in a virtual interview, provide feedback if necessary, and have a better understanding of the candidates professional interests and background.

• Once the candidate's pre-recorded video is reviewed and approved by a career coach, candidates will receive a link via email indicated on the application to join our scholar Slack channel, where LA-Tech.org shares opportunities and offers a space for candidates to connect with their peers! Additionally, LA-Tech.org regularly shares and posts available internship opportunities, events, workshops, and more! 
  • A career coach may occasionally contact candidates to request additional information or provide resume recommendations. 

• This application is meant for LA-Tech.org staff to best understand the candidate's interests and availability during the duration of the internship search and to best support candidates throughout the application processes.
